豊かさと反比例する満足度 最近では、定額制の音楽聴き放題のサービスが世の中にあふれています。 僕もこれらを利用していますが、最近ふと感じることがあります。 それは『あらゆる音楽が聞ける環境であるにも関わらず、音楽を聴くことがどんどん楽しくなる訳ではない』ということです。 選択できる曲数がたくさんあると、毎回違う曲を選択することになり、結果的に同じ曲を ”繰り返し” 聴く機会がどんどん減っていきます。 その結果、お気に入りの曲かどうかも判断できないまま、どんどん次の曲を聞きあさることになります。 以前は聴きたい音楽があればCD等を購入し、それを繰り返し聴きました。 それによってどんどんその曲が好きになり、それが作者の情報等も深堀りすることにつながり、結果として音楽とそのまわりにあるものを楽しみ、それによって満足が得られていたように思います。 所有物が増えすぎて、幸福度が下がってしまうということ。 長く都会で過ごした人たちが晩年、地方に移住する感覚と似ているかも知れません。 自分達が作り出す製品でこのようなことが起きないよう、今後もより一層丁寧なモノづくりに励みたいと思います。   Satisfaction in inverse proportion to affluence These days, the world is full of subscription-based, all-you-can-listen-to music services.
