Another good thing about having the members write down their dreams for the future was that I got a very clear picture of what was going on in each member’s head.

もう一点、将来の夢を書いてもらってよかったと思うのは、メンバーそれぞれの頭の中がとてもクリアに見えたことです。
One staff member, who was usually relatively quiet, filled out the form with things that were difficult to get out of him even when I interviewed him one-on-one.
Or, some staff members stayed with content that was not so new and could be easily imagined based on their previous behavior.
In short, ‘by asking them to fill in their thoughts again, I was able to grasp their level of motivation for growth.

普段は比較的無口で、1対1で面談をした時でもなかなか聞き出せなかったようなことを、記入欄いっぱいに書いてくれたスタッフがいました。
あるいはさほど目新しい内容はなく、それまでの行動から容易に想像がつくような内容に留まるスタッフもいました。
要するに『改めて自分の考えを記入してもらうことによって、成長に向けたモチベーションの度合いが手に取るように分かった』ということです。
