Improvement of Leather Sheath (10)

I searched the Internet for possible cutting machines to purchase, but found only very limited information on auction sites.
So I decided to go to a “leather production area” where there might be a lot of those machines in operation.

ネット上で購入できそうな裁断機を探すも、オークションサイト等でのごく限られた情報しか見つかりませんでした。
そこで、その機械がたくさん稼働している可能性のある、『革の産地』に行くことを決めました。

Upon researching, I found that Himeji City in Hyogo Prefecture is famous for its leather production, and there were several associations, so I decided to head there as soon as the idea came to me and try them in turn.

First of all, I visited the secretariat of the cooperative, which has about 250 companies as members, but unfortunately, they told me that they had ‘no information on cutting machines at all.

On the way to the second cooperative, I asked at a leather goods store in the same building, and was informed that ‘a sewing machine manufacturer in Kobe (in the direction back to the company) might know more about it.

I then visited several other stores and businesses in the area, but could not find any more detailed information, so I decided to visit that sewing machine manufacturer.

(This was the last thing I found out, but I was told that although Himeji City is famous for leather production, there are not many companies that process it. No wonder it is hard to get information on cutting machines.)

調べると、兵庫県の姫路市が革の産地として有名であることが分かり、いくつかの組合もあったので、思いついたその日にすぐに向かい、順番にあたってみることにしました。

まずはじめに、250社ほどの企業が加盟する組合の事務局を訪問したのですが、残念ながらそこでは『裁断機に関する情報は全くない』とのことでした。

２軒目の組合を訪問する途中、同じ建物内にあった革製品のショップでお聞きしたところ、『（会社に戻る方向にある）神戸のミシンメーカーさんが詳しいのではないか』との情報を頂きました。

その後も、その周辺で他のショップや企業さんを数軒訪問したのですが、それ以上に詳しい情報は得られなかったので、そのミシンメーカーを訪ねることにしました。

(これは最後に分かったことですが、姫路市は革の生産地としては有名ですが、それを加工する業者さんはあまりないとのことでした。どおりで裁断機の情報がなかなか得られない訳です。)
