【No.60】と【No.76】でお伝えした、若手職人（二人目の研ぎ職人）のその後についてお伝えします。

The time period goes back a bit, to the summer of 2024, about six months after he joined the company.

He had already learned most of the basics from his seniors, so we told him to proceed at his own pace in his daily sharpening work.

The knives to be sharpened were properly prepared and sharpening facilities were at his disposal.

However, when we observed him on a daily basis, it seemed that he spent more time on other tasks, such as installing the handle, than on sharpening knives.

少し時期は遡りますが、彼が入社して半年ほどが経過した2024年夏頃のこと。

基礎的なことはだいたい先輩から学び終えていたので、日々の研ぎ作業については自分のペースで進めてもらうように伝えていました。

研ぐべき包丁をきちんと準備し、研ぎの設備も自由に使えるような環境も整えていました。

ところが日々の彼の様子を見ていると、包丁を研いでいる時間よりも柄挿げなどその他の作業に時間を割くことが多いように見受けられる状況が続きました。
