Nearly two more years have passed since then, and the sharpening that can be done in-house at Konosuke has gradually been enhanced.
Then one day, I suddenly remembered this blacksmith.

それからさらに２年近くが経過し、幸之祐の社内でできる研ぎの内容が少しずつ充実してきました。
そんなある日、この職人さんのことをふと思い出しました。

“Yes! Maybe now we can talk about something a little more specific.”
With that in mind, I thought I would call him again soon.

However, to be honest, my feelings at this time were quite mixed.

Since it had been quite some time since my last visit and I had hardly made any proposals since then, it was possible that he had already lost interest in us.

I also thought that if it had caused him great frustration, I might not be able to see him again.

However, when I called, the craftsman immediately remembered me and gladly accepted my visit.

「そうだ！今ならもう少し具体的なお話ができるかも知れない」
そう思いたち、すぐにまたお電話しようと思いました。

ただ、正直なところこの時の心境はかなり複雑なものでした。

前回の訪問からかなり時間が経っていたこと、またその時からほとんど何もこちらから提案ができていなかったことから、すでにこちらへの興味をなくされている可能性がありました。

また、もしそれが原因で大きな不満を生んでいたとしたら、もうお会いすることもできないかも知れないとも思いました。

ところが、お電話するとその職人さんはすぐに僕のことを思い出して頂き、快く訪問を受け入れて下さることになりました。
