KS-01 Development background (1)

Over the past 10 years, Japanese kitchen knives have become increasingly popular around the world, and the craftspeople who were commissioned to make them have become extremely busy, making it impossible to prepare knives with the same turnaround time as before.

In response to this situation, “other companies in the same industry in Sakai who are establishing their own in-house sharpening workshops” have appeared one after another.

I felt the need to do so, but we were not in a position to tackle it immediately.

この10年間、世界各国で日本製包丁の人気がどんどん高まり、それに伴って包丁の製作を依頼していた職人さんも超多忙になったため、以前と同じような納期で包丁を準備することができなくなってしまいました。

その状況に対応すべく『研ぎの工房を自社内に新設される堺の同業他社さん』が次々と現れました。

自社でもその必要性を感じてはいたのですが、すぐに取り組める状況ではありませんでした。
