I could sense from our regular conversations that she was interested in product development, so I proposed some ideas and asked her to work on them.

Nowadays, “knife roll,” “T-shirts,” and “leather sheaths” have already been commercialized, she developed them one at a time, taking her time and in turn, sometimes consulting with her seniors.

One day, she asked me how she should divide her time between “development of new products” and “work for making products such as handle installation.

普段の会話の中から、商品開発にも興味がありそうなことが感じ取れたので、こちらからいくつかアイデアを提案をし、取り組んでもらうことにしました。

今ではすでに商品化された『（包丁収納用の）布巻き』『Tシャツ』『革サヤ』がそうなのですが、彼女は一つずつ順番にじっくりと、時には先輩方とも相談しながら、それらの開発に取り組んでくれていました。

そんなある日、彼女から『新商品の開発』と『柄挿げなど 製品を作るための作業』のそれぞれにかける時間は、どのように配分すればよいかとの質問がありました。
