I was allowed to stay there during my visit, and combined with the personality of the craftsman and his wife, it was a truly special experience.

各地の職人さんの変化 (5)

今回の訪問ではそこに泊まらせて頂いたのですが、職人さんご夫婦の人柄も相まって、それはそれは本当に特別な時間を過ごさせて頂くことができました。

They have neighbors nearby who make all kinds of things by hand, and they would like to offer a special time for guests to experience all kinds of Japanese culture with the help of these neighbors.

In fact, he has been talking about this kind of dream for a long time, and each time I was excited to listen to him.

This craftsman, seems to have been aware of my feelings of empathy for his dreams for the future, and he has been asking me, ‘I hope we can do something together.

If I were to actually help, I would be able to guide overseas fans, and when they actually come, I would be able to move with them while translating for them.

I find myself excited again when I imagine such things.

↑The view from his home (ご自宅から見える景色)

近くには色んな物を手作りしているご近所さんも住んでおられるようで、お客さんを受け入れる際にはそのような方々にも協力してもらい、あらゆる日本文化を感じて頂けるような特別な時間を提供したいと考えておられるようです。

実は以前からこのような夢を語っておられたのですが、その度に僕はワクワクしながら聞いていました。
この職人さんも、このような将来の夢に共感する僕の気持ちには以前から気づいておられたようで、『一緒に何かできればいいですね』と声をかけて下さっています。

僕が実際にお手伝いするとすれば、海外のファンの皆さんにご案内したり、また実際に来て頂いた時には通訳しながら皆さんと一緒に移動する、といったことができそうな気がしています。

そんな想像をしていると、またワクワクしている自分に気付きます。
