Unlike other production areas, most kitchen knives made in Sakai have traditionally had a polished finish.
There is also a kurouchi finish, but (as far as we know) there are not many variations.

他産地と違い、昔から堺の包丁は磨きの仕上げがほとんどでした。
黒打仕上もありますが(僕たちが知る範囲内では)バリエーションはあまり多くありません。
