In contrast, the happiness derived from passion—the kind you feel when you’re fully immersed in something—lasts much longer.

In our case, when I launched Konosuke, I was brimming with passion to “let people all over the world know about our craftsmanship.”

Since this “state of happiness” lasted for over ten years, it certainly lasted much longer than the kind of happiness that comes from lining one’s own pockets.

それに対し、『（何かに打ち込むような）情熱 がもたらす幸せ』はそれよりもずっと長続きするということです。

僕たちの例でいうと、僕が幸之祐を立ち上げたときは『世界中の皆さんに僕達のモノづくりを知ってもらいたい』という情熱に満ち溢れていました。

この『幸せな状態』は10年以上続いたので、確かに私腹を肥やすような幸せよりもかなり長続きしたと言えます。
