その状況になってから、数年が経ちました。

 

In the meantime, he personally had a variety of issues to resolve.

As we watched from nearby, we were often frustrated by the way he tackled these issues.
As a result, we were forced to make a business decision that we should salvage the machinery purchased on behalf of the company.

However, there was no way we would be able to use the machines he had selected at the time, and it was quite possible that we would have trouble dealing with them.
We also had to find a new place to store them because of their weight and volume.

Furthermore, even if he were able to solve his issues, it would be difficult to resume work without the machinery.

For these reasons, we decided not to salvage the machinery and leave it in place.

その間彼は個人的に、解決すべき様々な課題を抱えていました。

それらに取り組む様子について、近くで見ていた僕達としては歯がゆい思いをすることが多々ありました。
その結果「代理購入した機械類を引き揚げるべき」というような経営判断に迫られるような状況にもなりました。

ただ、当時彼が選定したそれらの機械類を、すぐに僕達が使いこなせるはずもなく、それらを持て余す可能性が十分にありました。
また、それらの重量や容積もそれなりにあるので、保管場所を新たに探す必要がありました。

さらには、もし彼が抱える課題を解決できたとしても、機械がない状態では仕事の再開も難しくなってしまいます。

以上の理由から機械類は引き揚げず、そのままにしておくことにしました。
