Growth goals for the company, myself, and staff (10)

We have just started working on a major goal for the company, but in reality, I myself am not ‘sacrificing myself and dedicating myself to the company.

I feel that by making an effort to help the company grow, I can ultimately ‘grow myself.

 

会社・自分・スタッフ それぞれの成長目標 (10)

今回、会社としての大きな目標を掲げて取り組み始めたところですが、実際のところ僕自身も『自分を犠牲にして 会社のために 献身的に努力する』という訳ではありません。

会社が成長するための努力をすることによって、結果的には『自分自身が成長できる』と感じるからです。

 

The company motto of my grandfather, “We pledge to contribute to the improvement and development of society and cultural life by continuing to research Sakai knives that cut well and selling superior products” (【No.146】),
which was reiterated this time, is expressed as “contributing to our customers,” but it also results in our own joy and makes us feel fulfilled and motivated, It is also a source of job satisfaction and joie de vivre.

I believe that no one can work hard unless it is for their own growth and pleasure, so instead of imposing company goals, I decided to first ask all staff members to write down their “dreams and goals that they want to achieve in their future lives.

(It will be a little while before everyone submits theirs, so I’ll post the rest of the story around that time.)

 

また今回改めて掲げた『我々はよく切れる 堺刃物の研究を重ね 優良品の販売を以って 社会文化生活の向上発展 に寄与することを誓う』（【No.146】）という祖父による社是も、
表現としては『お客の皆さまに貢献する』という内容ではありますが、それも結果的には自分達の喜びとなり、働きがいや生きがいにもつながることです。

やはり誰しも、自分の成長や喜びのためになることでないと一生懸命になれないと思いますので、会社の目標を押し付けたりせず、まずはスタッフ全員に『今後の人生で叶えたい夢や目標』などを書いてもらうことにしました。
