Although the equipment was completely handmade, it seems to have been useful for basic sharpening practice for the past two years.

完全手作りの設備ではありましたが、とりあえずこれまでの約２年間においては、研ぎの基礎練習をするのに役立ててもらえたようです。

As we aim to further improve quality in the future, the problem has become that the steel rack tops, which are made of thin metal wires that tend to flex in parts, vibrate due to the rotation of the motor on which they are mounted.

The polishing belt itself vibrates up and down and even contacts unintended areas when polishing knives.

The preface has been quite long, but that is the reason why we decided to renew the pedestal of the belt grinder.

The work was a continuation of what we previously introduced in【No.101】, and we were able to borrow a welding machine from another craftsman to complete the pedestal this time.

The motor and other components will be replaced from the previous equipment to complete the project.

今後さらなる品質向上を目指すにあたり、部分的にたわみやすい『細い金属線で構成されたスチールラックの天板』が、その上に載せられたモーターの回転によって振動することが問題となってきました。

研磨ベルト自体が上下に振動してしまい、包丁を研磨する時に意図しない部分にまで接触してしまうのです。

前置きが相当長くなってしまいましたが、それがきっかけで今回、ベルトグラインダーの台座をリニューアルすることにしました。

作業としては以前【No.101】でご紹介した内容の続きで、溶接機は今回、また別の職人さんに借りることができ、台座を完成させることができました。

今後、モーターやその他の部品を以前の設備から付け替えて、完成を目指します。
