彼の仕上げる包丁の品質も日に日に良くなってきているので、少し難易度を上げて以前ご紹介した粉末鋼の牛刀にもチャレンジしてもらっています。

最初は少し包丁表面が膨らんだような仕上げになっていましたが（写真左）、それを伝えるとすぐに改善してくれました（同右）。

彼に今後の目標を聞いてみると『もっとよく切れる包丁や、長切れする包丁を作りたい』とのこと。

将来的に自社でもチャレンジしたいと思っている鍛造工程では、鋼材の選択や熱処理の工夫など、色んな条件の組み合わせによって、仕上がる包丁の可能性は無限大に広がります。

彼は鍛造工程にもぜひ、その時が来ればぜひチャレンジしたいと言ってくれています。

少しずつではありますがチーム全員でしっかりと将来を見据え、辿り着きたいゴールへ向けて着実に進んで行きます。
