However, he was distressed that he could not improve his sharpening efficiency because he could not improve as he wished, and that instead of contributing to sales, he was only incurring the cost of his own labor expenses.

Therefore, he was drifting toward “tasks that could contribute to immediate sales, such as the handle installation.

There had been times when he seemed to be running away from the sharpening process, but my concern was replaced by relief when I learned that he was thinking of the company as a whole.

ただ、自分の思うように上達できないためになかなか研ぎの効率が上がらず、売上に貢献するどころか自分の人件費というコストばかりがかさんでしまっていることが心苦しかったようです。

そのため、ついつい『柄挿げなどの目先の売上に貢献できる作業』に流れてしまっていたということです。

それまでは、研ぎの作業から逃げているように見えた時もあったのですが、彼が会社全体のことを考えてくれていたということを知り、心配していた気持ちは安堵に変わりました。
