Building a team that covers your weak areas (2)

We are still very inexperienced in sharpening, so we continue to do research by hand every day.
We are also exploring how to teach newcomers, but we believe that after teaching them the basics, it is necessary for them to sharpen many knives and improve their skills by thinking for themselves, even without an instructor nearby at all times.

In accordance with this idea, I entrusted him with the knives to be sharpened and left the pace of daily sharpening to him, while also asking him to do other jobs such as handle installation, etc. I also left the time allocation for each job to him.

In the midst of all this, a word from a veteran outside craftsman brought a great realization to my attention.
