ファンの気持ち

コロナ後初の海外出張先として、７月の上旬〜中旬にかけて香港、イギリス、デンマークの各販売店を訪れました。

そのうちの一店は、数人のスタッフさんが幸之祐ロゴのtattooを腕に刻んで下さるほど、弊社製品を愛して下さっている販売店さんです。

今回の訪問に合わせて、その販売店さんがお客さんにアナウンスをして下さったおかげで、何人もの弊社のファンの方が来店頂き、ありがたい生のお声によってまたパワーを頂くことができました。

販売店の方が言うには、一度幸之祐の包丁を買うとハマる人が多く、次からも指名買いをして下さるとのこと。
このことは本当に嬉しく思いました。

出張後は夏休みを合わせて、昔から行きたかった旧ユーゴスラビアの国々を訪れました。
小さい頃から何度も繰り返し見ていた、ジャッキーチェンの映画のロケ地巡りです。

事前に情報を集めてGoogleマップ上に数ヶ所をポイントし、レンタカーで数日かけて回ったのですが、全く知らない土地を進む中、急に親しみのある景色が目に飛び込んで来た時の感覚は、何とも言いがたいものがありました。

今回改めて感じたのは『自分の心を大きく揺さぶったものは、何十年経ってもその魅力が色褪せない』ということです。
初めてその映画を見たのは小学生の頃ですが、30年以上経った今でも各ロケ地を回るたびに、あの時のワクワクが蘇ってきました。

その映画ではジャッキーチェンは瀕死の重傷を負うほど、文字通り命を懸けて撮影していました。
やはりそれほどこだわって作ったものはファンの胸に強く刺さり、心の中で輝き続けるのだろうと思います。

弊社での品質管理において、手直しすべきかどうかを迷うときがあります。
そんな時は、『それを自分がお客として受け取った時に嬉しいかどうか』で判断するように皆に伝えています。

お客さんの心を何十年にも渡ってワクワクさせるようなモノづくりを、これからも目指していきたいと思います。

Fan’s feelings

As my first overseas business trip destination after COVID-19, I visited vendors in Hong Kong, England, and Denmark from early to mid-July.

One of them is a shop that loves our products so much that several staff members have tattooed the Konosuke logo on their arms.

Thanks to their announcement, many of our fans came to the shop on the day which I visited.
I was so motivated by the warmhearted remarks through the direct conversation with them.

One of the staff members says that once they buy Konosuke knives, many people become addicted to them, and will buy them again and again.
I was so happy to hear that.

After visiting these countries, I visited the countries of the former Yugoslavia which I had wanted to visit for a long time as my summer vacation.
I visited several filming locations of Jackie Chan’s movie which I had seen many times since I was little.

I gathered information in advance, pointed out several places on Google Maps, and spent several days traveling around by rental car.
The feeling I had when I suddenly saw a familiar landscape while traveling through a completely unknown land was very special.

This time, I recognized again that things that greatly shake my heart are still attractive even after decades.
I was so excited when I found each location even though it has already been over 30 years since I watched the movie when I was an elementary school student.

When filming this movie, Jackie Chan was seriously injured on the verge of death.  He was making movies with his life literally.
I think that if you make great things with a lot of effort, it will stick strongly in the hearts of the fans and will continue to be attractive.

In quality control of our products, sometimes staff members wonder if they should make adjustments or not.
In this case, I’m telling them to make judgments based on whether they would be happy to receive it as a customer.

We would like to continue to aim for manufacturing that will excite our customers for decades to come.
