The second type is, in a sense, almost the exact opposite of the first.

Even though the request is the same—“I want to increase my income”—what is actually meant is “when I have truly grown as a professional,” implying that a higher income should be the result of contributing to the company.

People who work with this mindset clearly understand whether their improved performance is due to “good luck (resulting from external factors)” or to “their own hard work and growth.”

Therefore, even if the (sharp) improvement in performance resulting from the former does not immediately lead to a (significant) increase in revenue, there is no cause for dissatisfaction.

For the company, it is crucial to find ways to help these individuals reach their full potential.

二つ目のタイプはある意味、一つ目とは真逆に近い考えです。

言葉では同じ『収入を増やしたい』という要望であっても、それは『自分がしっかりと成長した時に』ということであり、『会社に貢献した結果としての高収入』という意味です。

このような思いで働く人は、業績の伸びが『（外部要因による）幸運によるもの』なのか、『成長した自分の頑張りによるものなのか』をしっかりわきまえています。

そのため、前者の結果での（急激な）業績の伸びに対して、すぐに（大幅な）収入増が伴わなかったとしても、不満に思うことはありません。

会社としては、いかにしてこのような方々に力を発揮してもらうかがとても重要になります。
