Improvement of manufacturing process (3)

In response to this situation, I told craftsperson C some time ago that I wanted her to think about a new manufacturing process with the “image of tripling the production number.

But then again, it has only been about six months since we started selling leather sheaths in the first place.

 

製造工程の改善 (3)

この状況を受け、職人Ｃには少し前に『生産数を３倍くらいに増やすようなイメージ』で新たな製造工程を考えて欲しいと伝えていました。

しかし改めて考えると、そもそも革の鞘は販売を始めてからまだ半年ほどしか経っていません。

 

She had done everything on her own in a short period of time, from creating the product design to establishing the current production system, but the request for a major overhaul of the manufacturing process was indeed too much for her.

I couldn’t get any suggestions, so I checked with her again, and she said, ‘I can’t afford to think about anything new while doing the number of productions that are needed now.

↑ Production in progress（製作途中の様子）

製品デザインをおこすところから現時点での生産体制を確立するまで、短期間で全ての事を一人でこなしてきた彼女にとっては、さすがにその製造工程を大幅に見直して欲しいという要求は酷だったようです。

中々提案が得られなかったので、改めて確認してみると、『今必要とされている生産数をこなしながら、新たなことを考える余裕はない』ということでした。
