Growth goals for the company, myself, and staff (4)
One more thing about “continue to create products that defy conventional wisdom”.
The common sense that prevails not only in the knife industry but also in the entire manufacturing industry is that
“the craftsmanship industry is 3D (difficult, dirty, and dangerous)”.
Is it “It is a matter of course that the world of craftsmanship is hard, and those who cannot endure it are disqualified as craftsmen”?
Is it “We (senior craftsmen from the old days) have endured it, so it is only natural that you (young craftsmen) should endure it too”?
I don’t think so.
It seems to me that because it is difficult to eliminate the 3D factor, they are leaving it without any effort and placing the responsibility for it on the younger generation.
I believe it is the role of management to improve a bad environment and create an environment that allows craftsmen to focus on their work.
(to be continued)
