This philosophy carries over into my current knife-making as well; at its core lies the belief that “if you can't come up with something that hasn't existed in the world before, there's absolutely no point in creating a new product.”Of course, there’s no way I would ever copy someone else.

この性格は今の包丁づくりにも通じていて、『今まで世の中に存在しなかったものが思いつかないのなら、新製品を作るのは全く意味がない』というような気持ちが根底にあります。もちろん、人の真似をするようなことはもってのほかです。

売上額が増えることよりも、『お客さんの記憶に残るようなインパクトを世の中に残すこと』の方が、僕自身の喜びになっています。
