Though usually a quiet craftsman, B opened up—perhaps because he was drinking his favorite liquor, or maybe it was the one-on-one setting—and I got to hear all sorts of stories.

From the overall tone of his conversation, it seemed he was enjoying his work more than ever before.

普段は寡黙な職人Ｂですが、彼が大好きなお酒を飲んでいるせいか、あるいはサシのみという環境もあってか、色んな話を聞くことが出来ました。

全体的な彼の話しぶりから、以前にも増して仕事を楽しんでいる様子が感じられました。
