To solve this problem, we could simply develop a new, different knife, but creating something truly unique would require a considerable amount of effort and time.

What’s more, it goes without saying that putting in the effort and time doesn’t necessarily guarantee results.

これを解決するには、また新たな別の包丁を開発すればよいのかもしれませんが、今までにない特別なものを作り出すためには、かなりの労力と時間を要します。

しかも、当然ですが『労力と時間を使えば必ず生み出せる』という訳でもありません。
