\nI was so busy with my own work day in and day out that I didn’t have time to worry about how the rest of the staff was doing, and for a while after I took over as president from my father, little had changed.
\nIn the midst of all this, along with changes in the environment surrounding the knife industry, my state of mind began to change as well.<\/p>\n

What makes me most happy in my work is when I receive words of gratitude and joy from customers.<\/p>\n

However, since around 2010, the majority of Konosuke’s customers were foreigners whom I did not get to meet very often, so I rarely had the \u201cchance to hear directly from customers, which is the best opportunity to motivate myself.<\/p>\n

In addition, the global knife boom has made craftsmen busier and busier, and they are less and less happy to be asked to produce knives.<\/p>\n

‘No matter how hard I work, I can never see the smiles on the faces of my customers or my craftsmen.’
\nThis situation made me suffer and I lost sight of my goal.<\/p>\n

It was probably around the time that such a situation continued for almost 5 to 10 years.
\nI began to have a change of heart.<\/p>\n
