Shrinkage of dust collection hose<\/h2>\n

We have had a dust collector installed in our polishing shop for five or six years, but one of our staff members told us, “We are having trouble with the noise”.
\nHe said that the sound of abnormalities during grinding could be inaudible, which could lead to injury.<\/p>\n

Everyone has felt this way about this for some time, and some staff had been working without running the dust collector for this reason.
\nThat was not good enough, so I moved the dust collector outside the work area and added another dust collection hose that had been stocked.
\nHowever, that would make the total length of the dust collection hose too long, so I sought a way to shorten the bellows-shaped dust collection hose.<\/p>\n

The coiled framework built into the hose has a strong spring and rebounds strongly when retracted, so if it is not secured in an appropriate manner, it will expand in one direction and unravel when an external force is applied.
\nI came up with a structure to prevent that from happening with the materials we had on hand.
\nI settled on a method that uses a lot of cable ties, which we use here and there in the company these days.<\/p>\n

There was also the issue of “wanting to close the door with the dust collector in operation”.
\nI considered drilling holes in the existing doors, but I could not come up with a method that would allow easy opening and closing of the doors in that condition, so at the suggestion of a staff member, I decided to substitute transparent vinyl sheets that were left over in the company.<\/p>\n

It looks like it will get dirty very quickly, but I will let it go for now!<\/p>\n
