I think many of you have seen the phrase “praise and develop your subordinates” in various places.<\/p>\n
“Of course, anyone would be happy if they were praised, and of course it would be easier for them to grow, but I’ve never done anything like that before.
\nEven if I tried forcing myself to do it, I’m sure everyone would think it was disgusting..” That’s how I felt before. Do you think so too?<\/p>\n
In the first place, it is too difficult to “praise” someone and it doesn’t really fit in unless it’s in a situation like an awards ceremony. I personally think so.<\/p>\n
After that, as I was exposed to various information, I learned that “approval” seems to have the similar effect as praise.
\nApproval means “recognizing the other person’s existence and work performance”, so you don’t have to use the excessive expressions.<\/p>\n
My own experience reminded me of approval.<\/p>\n
When I was working at a general company in my first year of employment, my boss asked me to take on a certain job.
\nAt that time, he said to me “I’m going to entrust this job to you because it’s you and no one else”.<\/p>\n
Of course, at that time I was a new employee and didn’t have any track record, but as a result, “he recognized my usual work performance”
\nI was able to strongly realize this, and it became an opportunity for me to develop greater sense of myself.<\/p>\n
